A Honey Bee’s Life

This entertaining and educational power point presentation explores the daily life of a honey Bee, Apis mellifera. Follow her as she grows from egg to honey producing forager. See the world through all five of her eyes. Understand her role in pollination of more than 1/3 of all we eat. Learn why bees are important to humans and some amazing facts about the intelligence and capability of these of these vital little insects and the beneficial liquid they produce.

Guest speaker, Denny offers entertaining and educational presentations about Honey Bees and their role in the environment He is retired from a career in sales, marketing and advertising where he spent many years on the national circuit as a professional speaker, trainer and presenter. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College, and is a Cornell University Certified Master Beekeeper. Denny has been keeping Bees for 8 years and is the President of the Lancaster County Beekeepers Society He and his wife Beth, are the owners of Indian Marker Hives in Conestoga. Denny currently manages about a dozen bee hives in three different locations. Denny is a disabled veteran, having served during the Vietnam era in the United States Army Medical Corps.
