“Make and Take Garden Journal”

CHG member Judy Beck Lobos will show us ways to record what’s happening in your herb garden by creating pages in a handmade book that will be as unique as you are. Learn about garden journaling and the intriguing history of Materia Medica as a personal learning tool. We’ll make a quick and easy handmade book using one sheet of watercolor paper. Then we’ll create front and back book covers and explore how to transfer your ideas into book form. At the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a handmade book ready to fill with sketches, photos, written words or whatever you’d like.

Presenter:  CHG member Judy Beck Lobos, is an artist and gardener who graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Art.  She studied the art of handmade art books at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado and The Penland School of Art and Craft in North Carolina. She maintains a studio at her home in Millersville.

Guests welcome with advanced reservation and $5 fee.  Please note space is limited for this event due to supplies.
